Host your event at the MHS

Ellis Hall The Society's historic building makes a wonderful setting for corporate presentations, private dinners, and receptions. Ellis Hall and the Seminar Room, both on the first floor, and the Treasures Gallery, Dowse Library, and public gallery spaces on the second floor are available for function rentals. 

These rooms range in capacity from an intimate seated event to a 250-person cocktail reception. The MHS also offers a full range of audio-visual equipment for lectures and presentations. To avoid conflicting with the institution's normal operations, Ellis Hall and the Seminar Room are not available during normal business hours.

A Note about Weddings

We regret that we cannot host wedding ceremonies or receptions at the Society.
